October 26, 2018

Continuing Marriner Marketing’s long-standing involvement in the local advertising community, Vice President and Executive Creative Director Christopher Just is the newest board member of the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore (AAFB). The group was founded 100 years ago as the Women’s Advertising Club of Baltimore, and though its name has evolved, the AAFB has maintained the original mission of supporting local ad professionals and promoting their achievements.

“Bringing new voices and talent to the table is essential if an organization like ours expects to stay relevant,” idfive Creative Director and incoming AAFB President Matt McDermott said. “Inviting a creative leader like Chris onto our board will add a unique perspective to our work, while helping evolve the AAFB to keep up with an industry undergoing unprecedented innovation and disruption.”

With Marriner for more than three years, Just oversees the strategic development and execution of creative campaigns across a multitude of communications platforms. Throughout his 20-year career, he’s worked at reputable Agencies of all sizes and customized business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing initiatives for Clients in industries including food, beverage, hospitality, tourism, healthcare and telecommunications.

Just said, “Marriner Marketing has been a longtime member of the AAFB, and we want to continue to help influence and grow our industry locally by having an active voice on the board. The AAFB provides connectivity to a wealth of the area’s top resources, which affords us the opportunity to continue servicing our Clients at the highest level.

“I truly believe that rising tides lift all ships, so I’m looking forward to engaging with our advertising colleagues more purposefully and helping to promote and foster a community that is already extremely rich with great talent.”

Formed in 1918, the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore (AAFB) is one of 225 local affiliate chapters of the American Advertising Federation. Its mission is to advocate for Baltimore as a strong advertising community and to respond to the needs of its members through continuing education, informational programs, networking and social opportunities as well as legislative issues that confront the advertising industry.
