Marriner Marketing Promotes Two Long-Time Employees in Client Service and Creative Teams

February 10, 2022

Marriner Marketing Communications, a leading branding and activation agency in the food, beverage and hospitality industries, promoted Anne Torregrossa to Vice President of Client Services and Jessica Painter to Associate Creative Director. These two promotions are in line with the agency’s mission of supporting employees’ personal growth and success while creating opportunities for career advancement.

Torregrossa credits her background in the food industry with informing her work at Marriner. She started as a restaurant server in college and after graduation joined The Greene Turtle Franchising Corporation, holding roles in operations and marketing. She then moved agency-side to work with McCormick For Chefs and Glory Days Grill. This in-depth foodservice experience helped her understand the challenges faced by her customers, as well as the complexities of their decision-making process. Says Torregrossa, “It’s all about anticipation of needs and delivering the best-quality work and experience for our customers.” During her time at Marriner, Anne has applied that philosophy to successfully lead agency teams for Campbell Soup Company, The Plastics Industry Association and the annual Sweets & Snacks Expo (held by The National Confectioners Association).

With her promotion to VP of Client Services, Torregrossa will oversee a growing customer portfolio and a talented support team. Torregrossa says the highlight of her career at Marriner has been working with a talented team of individuals, all of whom bring unique perspectives to their roles.

“Since joining our team five years ago, Anne has helped elevate our customer service standards,” said Rob Levine, Partner & President of Marriner. “Her reputation for establishing trusted relationships, building thoughtful annual marketing plans and engaging cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class work is unparalleled.”

Painter joined Marriner nine years ago as a designer and credits the senior talent with helping her to grow into her current role. Her creative skillset ranges from print and digital design to animation and video production and editing, which have helped Marriner grow its expertise and in-house service offerings. A graduate of Penn State University, Painter has a professional background that includes creative positions with Mj Marketing and Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners.

In her new role as Associate Creative Director, Painter will be responsible for ensuring the creative design is strategically sound and stays on the edge of industry best practices. Having the opportunity to be creative every day keeps her motivated and energized, she says, because it doesn’t feel like “work.”

“Jess’s creative intuitions are always spot on, and her willingness to take on new challenges is an invaluable asset to Marriner,” said Matthew Ketchum, Creative Director. “She ensures we stay true to our customers’ brand essence and that whatever we create will deliver its intended impact on the target audience to produce results.”
