Integrated Media Planner/Buyer

The Integrated Media Planner/Buyer at Marriner Marketing will work to develop strategic channel/media approaches to meet Client objectives. We’re looking for expertise across all media channels in order to deliver the most effective media mix. Rigorous vendor assessment and strong buying/negotiating skills will be critical to delivering effective and efficient plans for our Clients. We want someone who is passionate about the space and able to sell his/her ideas to Clients and internal teams. Applicants should enjoy managing media activities from plan development through execution and be able to support performance reporting with relevant insights, implications and optimizations.

We’re seeking a positive, flexible, well-organized and self-motivated individual who has a passion for media and connecting with the target audience. You’ll be the perfect fit if you’re strategically minded, have great negotiating skills and love to think outside the box. You should be adept at building relationships; thrive in a team environment; and work well with internal staff, sales reps and Clients. Accurate and detail/numbers oriented, you’ll need to be a problem solver and multitasker who handles pressure well and is comfortable managing multiple projects at any given time.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 7+ years of consumer media planning and buying in traditional and digital channels, preferably with hospitality and CPG experience
  • Fluency in current digital media integration, trends and analytics
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Experience in paid search and paid social desired
  • Working knowledge of media research and planning tools (Simmons, GfK MRI, Strata/FreeWheel, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Analytics, with knowledge of Google Data Studio considered a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
