Client Services – Account Manager

The Account Manager serves as an important connection between the Client and the Agency. Priorities would be building and fostering relationships and advocating for both Client and Agency to ensure effective marketing solutions that support business objectives. Key Areas:

  • Support annual marketing plan development and execution
  • Manage day-to-day activities by serving as a communication hub between Clients and Agency
  • Ensure clear understanding of Clients’ overall business objectives, industry dynamics and target audience insights to help inform current and future marketing initiatives
  • Externally serve as a trusted and respected representative of the Agency to the Client
  • Internally provide insight and support across the Agency for all initiatives undertaken, including providing the Client perspective, voice and unique challenges

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Provide insight and information from the Client and collaborate with Agency cross-functional teams to help inform strategic planning, content or creative needs, and ongoing marketing execution
  • Help manage any active projects, including understanding why they are important, tracking progress, and ensuring they are effectively completed based on Client agreed-to expectations and schedules
  • Serve as a valuable piece of the brief development and creative review process for any deliverables, to ensure they align with Client strategy, objectives, target insights and brand standards
  • Attend Client meetings, with other team members as appropriate, to support the Agency rationale or presentation of any deliverables
  • Lead/attend all necessary internal meetings to provide the Client perspective and to support execution

Marriner Responsibilities:

  • Manage all status reporting, task lists and project timelines for internal team members and Clients
  • Take ownership of the successful completion of all tasks on time and on budget
  • Manage Agency resources against Client scope of work to ensure profitability
  • Support budget management as it relates to active, ongoing, and future initiatives and projects
  • Actively identify Agency opportunities to grow Client relationships and breadth of work

Expectations:

  • Strong understanding of marketing channels and solutions as they relate to supporting an organization’s overarching business objectives
  • Ability to effectively translate the unique business challenges of an organization as they relate to opportunities to create Agency-provided solutions
  • Ability to support creation of a marketing strategy and a plan’s execution, measurement, analysis and optimization over time, based on results achieved
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with executives at all levels of an organization, including the C-suite
  • Supreme organizational, budgeting and project management skills, including research; task tracking; scheduling; and capture of feedback, insights and details

Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (ideally in a marketing or communications concentration) is required
  • 3–8 years of professional experience that includes digital marketing, and ideally integrated marketing initiatives to B2C or B2B audiences, is required
  • Agency experience in a Client service role is required
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite is required
  • Food, beverage and hospitality industry experience is preferred
  • Google Analytics and understanding of a full digital ecosystem is preferred
