Account Services – Senior Client Manager

The Account Services Senior Client Manager serves as an important connection between the Client and the Agency. Tasked with supporting the Client team, building and fostering Client relationships, nurturing account growth and advocating on behalf of both sides of the relationship—the SCM has an all-encompassing view of the business problem at hand and the various opportunities to create effective solutions. With a full understanding of the unique voice and perspective of the Client, the SCM is expected to plan, direct and execute each endeavor with a strong strategic mindset as well as professional finesse to guarantee Client satisfaction.

Key Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Understand annual marketing plan for the Client and create linkage to the digital discipline
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day responsibilities, leading as a communication hub between Agency and Client, and generate clear and concise objectives, tactics, feedback and review
  • Internally represent the Client’s overall business objectives and how they relate to active and potential marketing initiatives
  • Externally serve as a key point of contact/representative of the Agency to the Client
  • Provide insight and support across the entire Agency for all initiatives undertaken as they relate to creative, content and execution methods and tactics, while understanding the Client perspective, voice and unique challenges 

Day-to-day Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide insight and information from the Client that help inform strategic planning and any content or creative needs as well as execution
  • Provide ongoing feedback and status to the Client and internal Agency team members to ensure timely completion of projects while meeting Client expectations and schedules
  • Serve as the final layer of creative review to ensure work delivers on time, as expected, and in alignment with Client strategy and business objectives
  • Work with team members in the coordination and management of cross-functional teams and resources as needed
  • Be the single point person for all Client projects, including the understanding and status of all projects per Client
  • Work with project management to ensure the effective completion of projects and initiatives
  • Attend all Client meetings with any other team members as needed to support the Agency rationale or presentation of materials
  • Lead/attend all necessary internal meetings to provide the Client perspective to internal team members as needed

Marriner Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all status reporting, task lists and project timelines for internal team members and Client teams
  • Take ownership of the successful completion of all tasks on time and on budget
  • Manage Agency resources against Client scope of work to ensure profitability
  • Coordinate billing and projection of billing as they relate to active, ongoing and future initiatives and projects
  • Actively identify Agency opportunities to grow Client relationships and breadth of work
  • Contribute to Agency growth through new business development support—strategic rationale, presentations, proposals, etc.

Experience Desired:

  • Strong understanding of marketing channels and solutions as they relate to supporting an organization’s overarching marketing and business objectives
  • Ability to effectively translate and communicate the unique business challenges of an organization as they relate to opportunities to create Agency-provided solutions
  • Ability to manage the components of a marketing strategy and their execution, measurement and optimization over time
  • Diligent and relationship-driven expertise that is second nature in order to consistently maintain Client satisfaction
  • Solid project management experience that can drive ideation, planning, execution and analysis from end to end
  • Supreme organizational, budgeting and coordination skills, including ownership of research; budget; billing; scheduling; presentation; and capture of feedback, insights and details

Skills Required/Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (marketing or communications concentration preferred)
  • 3–5 years of related professional experience that includes both traditional and digital marketing/advertising/PR
  • Understanding of the management of a digital ecosystem, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, content and website management, and interpretation of data
  • Google Analytics experience preferred—certification is a plus
  • Previous food, beverage and hospitality experience for B2B or B2C is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office products
