Healthy Breakfasts Help Rebound

Breakfast sales are projected to grow over 4% this year according to Mintel, with locations offering healthy breakfast having an advantage, as 40% of consumers who eat breakfast out cite healthy options as the most important factoring in choosing an establishment. Not surprisingly, convenience and cost factor in as well. It remains to be seen whether, as usual, patrons pay lip service to healthy eating and continue clamoring for bacon and biscuits. Regardless, as restaurants chase growth opportunities in this rollercoaster year, breakfast appears to be a good growth bet.
