Marketing Assistant

We’re Marriner, a growing branding and activation Agency in the D.C./Baltimore area, and we focus on food, beverage and hospitality. We’re currently looking for a Marketing Assistant, but above all else, we’re looking for someone with an innate curiosity. See, we love curious people, because they never stop learning, asking questions and digging for the truth. Having this trait will not only help you explore and learn various responsibilities and aspects of the advertising industry, but also add to your growth potential here at Marriner. But keep in mind, we don’t just want curious people. We want nice people, too.

Skills required:

  • Degree, preferably in marketing or a related field
  • Genuine interest in marketing and advertising
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to learn (there’s that curiosity bit again)
  • Sound writing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Self-motivation and dependability
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Great people skills and approachable personality
  • Ability to multitask in a busy work environment
  • Professional demeanor

Immediate responsibilities will include the following:

  • Supporting the Agency’s new business efforts with research and insights
  • Working with account service staff on various projects
  • Assisting with Client meetings and conferences
  • Providing accounting support with job activations
  • Assisting the media and research departments
  • Supporting human resources
  • Helping with various production deadlines
  • Answering multiline phones
  • Fulfilling all shipping needs
  • Supervising office maintenance
