Marriner Bolsters Interactive Department

Growth Required to Meet Client and Industry Demand

Columbia, MD– The increasing importance and impact of the Web in effective marketing communications programs enabled Marriner Marketing to strengthen its Interactive Department by promoting Seth McMillan to Interactive Manager, and adding Trey Buckingham as a Web Developer.

“We are excited to head into the Web 2.0 arena, where the social aspect of the Web is becoming increasingly significant,” McMillan says.  “Engaging our clients and keeping our capabilities cutting edge are our top priorities, so we can adapt to the changing environment and take advantage of the endless opportunities the Web offers in meeting our clients’ business needs.”
 
McMillan’s background includes 17 years of information technology experience, including 10 years of Web design, development and management. With Marriner for four years, McMillan is responsible for overseeing all Web initiatives including design and development, content management and Internet marketing.  McMillan also establishes agency-based Web standards and best practices.  McMillan’s career includes positions with the Corvis Corporation, where he managed company-wide web initiatives around the world; Lockheed Martin, where he won the President’s Award; Telecommunications Systems; and the Environmental Protection Agency.

“Seth has done an excellent job staying on top of Internet trends and technologies, which has allowed us to take a proactive approach with our clients, and position ourselves as an Agency with progressive, full-service Web capabilities,” said Tighe Merkert, MMC President and CEO.

MMC’s Interactive Department now also includes Trey Buckingham, who brings a strong Web design and development background to the company.  Buckingham’s experience includes Web development and consulting for companies such as Griffin Radiology & Associates, The Source Design Group, United Used Cars and EMT Technologies.
